Welcome Joseph To, Director of Orchestra and Choir!

Friends of Washington Music is so excited to welcome WMS’s new Orchestra and Choir Director, Joseph To!

Before joining the Washington Middle School music faculty, Joseph served on the Northwest Girlchoir board as the co-chair of the Racial Equity Committee. In his own words, he is a strong advocate for providing equitable music education programs for all students. He has have been involved in the local music scene, directing multiple music programs in the area, including leading the Magnolia Chorale, the Norwegian Ladies Chorus of Seattle, and most recently, teaching Northwest Girlchoir.

Joseph brings a friendly attitude to WMS. His goals for his classes are to help students make new friends, become more skilled as singers and musicians, and have an unforgettable music-making experience.
