Friends of Washington Music supports excellence and equity in music education for the students of Washington Middle School.
Who We Are
Friends of Washington Music (FOWM) is a 501 (c)(3) made up of parent volunteers. Through advocacy and fundraising, we work to enhance and improve access to music education for students at Washington Middle School (WMS) and its attendance area public schools, regardless of their level of experience or resources.
Who We Support
The music program at Washington Middle School serves a diverse and dynamic student body through daily music ensembles. More than half of the students at Washington are enrolled in the music program, and students from every educational program and background are afforded the ability to participate. Led by amazing instructors, complemented by after-school music offerings, and supported by families and community, the music program at Washington is truly groundbreaking.
